Bowser is your average dog: a treat-loving ball of energy who can sometimes remember important things, but is mostly just happy to forget in favor of the next best thing. This time, the next best thing is Birdie - the coolest human EVER, and his new owner. Birdie smells nice, gives the BEST head scratches, and that laugh of hers is the happiest sound around. At least it was before her Grandmother's prized marlin - an old taxidermy fish - was stolen from her shop, setting off a hunt for a treasure map! With the sheriff investigating the wrong person, Bowser and Birdie have no choice but to search for the thief themselves, but investigating with a human is tough work for a dog who can hear, smell, and sense danger in ways that no human can. How can Bowser tell Birdie about the clues he's found when she doesn't speak dog?
